Mahua Salsa

Ingredients


Soaked Mahua Flowers (1/2 cup)Red onion (1)
Tomatoes  (1) 
Green chilly (1) 
Coriander leaves (1 tbsp)
Lemon juice (1)
Salt (1/2 tsp)
Cumin powder (1/4 tsp)
Tobasco sauce (few drops)

Notes

  1. Soak the dried mahua flowers in warm water For 30 mins and drain

Directions

  1. Dice the soaked Mahua flowers into small, salsa-appropriate pieces.  
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the diced mahua, onion, tomato, green chilli and coriander. 
  3. Add lime juice, salt , cumin powder and few drops of Tabasco sauce. Mix gently until well combined. 
  4. Let the Salsa sit for 10 - 15 minutes to allow the flavours to meld. Serve as a side dish, topping or dip.
