Mahua Thekuwa

Ingredients

  • Dried Mahua Flowers – 250g
  • Rice and Millet Flour – 500g
  • Sugar/Jaggery – 100g
  • Refined Oil – As required
  • Salt – To taste

  1. Grind flowers before use
  2. Can use rice or millet flour(wheat/maduwa)
  3. Use either sugar or jaggery

DIRECTION:

  1. Grind Mahua flowers in a mixie.
  2. Mix rice and  millet flour with Mahua flowers.
  3. Add refined oil and salt to the flour mix.
  4. Mix well until  the mixture form a lump and not fall apart.
  5. 5. Knead using  sugar/jaggery cold water.
  6. Shape the dough as desired.
  7. Fry in hot oil until golden brown.
